University of Idaho Foundation Announces New Leaders

New Faces, New Expertise: University of Idaho Foundation Announces New Leaders.

The University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. has elected two new members to its board of directors.  The new directors will add to the current board comprised of leaders from Idaho and around the nation.  Their terms run for three years.

New board members are:
  • Valerie "Val" Heusinkveld ('81), of Boise, is the chief financial officer of CradlePoint.  She has more than 30 years of experience in financial leadership positions with public and private companies.  Heusinkveld earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Idaho's College of Business and Economics.
  • William "Bill" Kearns ('81), of Laguna Beach, Calif., is a principal in acquisitions and leasing for LBA Realty.  The firm specializes in real-estate investments and manages core, core-plus, and value-added office and industrial properties.  Kearns earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Idaho's College of Business and Economics.

The Foundation also elected Laine Meyer ('72) of Los Altos, Calif., to serve as chairman of the board.  Meyer is a retired vice president with Hewlett-Packard.  He and his wife Claudia live in California and have a second home in Sun Valley.

Serving with Meyer are Richard Allen of Scottsdale, Ariz., vice chairman; Carl Dyess of Beaverton, Ore., treasurer; Jeffry L.  Stoddard of Laguna Niguel, Calif., past-chairman; and Nancy McDaniel of Boise, secretary.
